Default First gear "pops under pressure"

I searched around and could only find issues of the gear popping out without the clutch pressed in, basically my problem is when in first gear in higher rpms (3.5k-5k) and I go to shift into second when I push the clutch down the gear shifter almost jumps into second, does anyone else experience this?

I've not had first hand experience but I believe this is symptom of a worn synchro.

I hope its not that drastic but that's the first idea that came to me. I would first check your shift linkage to be sure its not something simple.

Funny enough I thought of posting about this issue earlier this week. Mine often pops out of first gear when there is a lot of pressure. It never happens when the clutch is out so I don't consider it an issue but it definitely acts like it is trying to shift itself into second when I depress the clutch.

Exactly kind of afraid to push it too hard

Mine does the same thing from time to time, it's been like that for eight years now, not really a problem but I don't tend to red-line it in first gear these days.

I realize that and was defending my car from the pink Ferrari comment in your other post.
but in all seriousness. used cabs tend to have been driven less hard by the POs, so I'll take that as a plus.

Hope you get this sorted,....I find this issue interesting.

Do you have the rare prototype "AutoStick" that Porsche used to have in the 60s?

I'd put my money on worn engine mounts.
I changed mine recently to RS engine mounts from pelican and the difference in ease of shifting and no hopping out of gears is amazing.
Might be worth investigating.

I'll definitely check out the engine mounts in that case
