Don't confuse the synchro (band + energizer blocks) with the coupling teeth and shifter sleeve. Yeah, they all work together; but even with the post-'76 (?) asymmetric teeth they still wear out. Not anything you can tend to externally, of course. Just another reason there's no free lunch when going into a 915 (or 901) to fix it correctly.

(OK, edit for the dimwit here..........thought I was still in the 911 forum!!!!! I'll leave it up for amusement value, and to let everyone know how great things are with G50s.)
