Hello 964 gurus , can anyone tell me if the Carrera 2 cabrio (RHD) WAS PRODUCED IN 1989.... thanks in advance

well my car was first registerd in the uk 01/01/90 so surely was made in 89 ..... very confused

MJ runs from August to July every year so MJ ( Modelyear) 1989 from Aug 1988 to July 1989 - for this modelyear NO C2 was build !

Your´s should be MJ 1990 ( WP0ZZZ96ZLS42xxxx ) - there are 346 - C2 Cabs RHD - incl. 66 with Tiptronic

( an information that you won´t be able to get elsewhere ... )

I will take Your word for it ! (that I wont be able to get this information elsewhere).

So therefore I ask You: How many Carrera 2 were made each year, and how many of thoses were Tiptronics (each year) ?

I´m working on a new book - perhaps sometimes these numbers will be available for everyone, but there are some difficulties in verifying some special series - unfortunately there is no help from Porsche on that way, so i fear, you have to wait for more details ...

... It makes no sense repeating the already known numbers again and again, although everyone knows that they are wrong ...
