anyone know if they share a earth somewhere? I'm thinking the brake lights and wiper circuit are linked...

reason for this is my car has been stood all day during the heavy rains, then this evening from the moment I started the engine, for the next 25 mins, whenever I pressed the brake - the rear wiper was activated... after 25mins and 10 miles the car was fully warm and engine hot, so I'm guessing might have dried out any dodgy earth connections.. either that or it was the pedal itself..

sounds more like a live short in the T10 connector behind the b pillar on pax side behind the side panel. that is the last place they coexist
