Default Unwanted attention

Wife and I are staying home tonight, New Year's Eve. If we were going out, we would drive her Mini. The black 964 is a cop magnet.
Anybody else think they get special "consideration" from the police because they happen to drive the toughest ride on the road?
Happy New year, all.

Haven't had any problems so far but on new years eve i think you have more chance of getting pulled over, the police are looking for drunk drivers, well they are in England

Anyway you cant beat staying home on new year,

Have a good one

Not from the cops but the parking guys seem to hook me up a fair amount.

Happy New Year!!

It still surprises me how much attention I get from the public in general. I look really young and often get dirty looks from people as if I'm some silver spooner driving a 100K exotic....yet the young person staring me down in the brand new Accord doesn't realize their car cost more than mine. haha I think another reason the car gets attention is there just isn't that many 964s on the road in general. I see tons more SC, 3.2s, 993s, and later cars.

Nope, wouldn't bother me a bit taking any of mine out tonight. But since we're now home and tucked inside for the night having just gotten back from 4 days/1K miles on the road (not in any 911), it's moot.

C4S is getting a lot of attention going to/from skiing though.

I blow by the cops all the time in my battleship gray Prius. I can't do that in the 964.

never been bothered by cops when in either of my cars. I have gotten compliments from a couple cops when stopped at a light while driving the Turbo. I let the cop that lives across the street from my girlfriend drive the turbo one time and he came back 1/2 hour latter with a huge grin on his face. Maybe he told his buddies to leave me alone

I pose the questions because: Other day am tooling down a boulevard posted at 35 and me at 38. I see cop with lazer gun. He aims at me, stares me down as I go past and on come the blinking lights. He asked the usual "Do you know why I pulled you over?" No sir. "Well, um, your front license plate appears to be loose". Will fix it immediately sir.
But, then he just flashes a big smile and says you were three mph over the limit, too, so keep the speed down and walks off.
Didn't ask for license or registration or proof of insurance. He was very much the gracious gentleman and I vow the next time I see him, will bring him cup of coffee.

I once was standing at a traffic light when someone ticked on my window, I looked to the left and see a
...Cop on a mean looking Honda motorcycle.. I was scared stiff, opened the window ... and guess what he says ! great sound your car Sir !!!

So there are P lovers even in Police uniforms !!
