Question Question for Cup 2 Wheel Owners

Do your genuine Cup 2 wheels have the width and offsets stamped either side of the tyre valve? I've seen a set advertised with the correct width and offsets (7 x 55 and 9 x 55) but the stamps by the tyre valves are not visible in the photos.

TIA

I am guessing you are looking at the set on ebay, I had the same concerns with them and the pics in this thread on the 993 forum suggest that the width and offset should be there:

I guess it could be an over eager refurb?

Steve - sorry, if it was the ebay wheels you were looking at, I have just bought them. The seller confirmed that the offsets are there just not visible in the photos. I hope you manage to find another set, i will let you know if I see any.

No problems mate. I've got plenty of wheels but these caught my eye and not seeing the offsets made me wonder what was going as to whether they were genuine. The BIN price was way below what these wheels are worth so you got a good deal

Cheers Steve, I agree that the deal was good providing they do turn out to be genuine Cup 2's.

They SHOULD be genuine because the mille miglia copies normally are 7.5 x 52 and 9 x 47. These DON'T have the stamps by the tyre valves. I know this all sounds like I am answering my own original question but I've never looked at Cup 2s closely so am grateful for Nidon confirming that genuine Cup 2s do indeed have the tyre valve stamps.
