Location of the control unit for the rear spoiler
My 90 C4 has sporadic issue of raising its rear spoiler. I suspect the culprit is the rear control unit located underneath the dashboard because it would emit a buzzing sound whenever the rear spoiler will not function. The check engine light and rear spoiler light would come on and the spoiler would not rise by turning the ****.
My question is where exactly the control unit located and it is easy to remove and replace with conventional tools?

The spoiler control is under the passenger (right) seat. Be sure that you are not hearing a malfunctioning spoiler motor, cable or gears under the rear lid instead of something under the dash.

Update:
Fixed the malfunctioned rear spoiler by replacing the old controller (911.618.112) with a new controller(964.618.212). The controller is located under the dashboard on the passenger side of my RHD C4.
