Thumbs down No haynes manual for 964?

I was checking the haynes story and only saw a porsche DIY book for 65-89, not sure if the 89 is the 964 but its still different from my 94, anyone know if they have a more recent book?

Nope, there is not one. And the 964 is SIGNIFICANTLY different from the 89 carrera.

There are many resources available to buy, but it really depends on what you need the book for.

I got in touch with Haynes re: 964 manual and this was the reply:

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding a Service and Repair Manual for your vehicle. Unfortunately, we do not produce a Manual for this particular model and have no plans to do so within the next 12 to 18 months.
However, all customer requests are recorded and used in the decision making process of future Manual publications/updates.
You could try contacting your local dealer to see if he can be of assistance.

This is an excellent DIY book for the 964:

http://www.amazon.com/Porsche-911-En...9415869&sr=8-1

Reviews from 965 (turbo) owners are less favorable but I find it to be an invaluable resource for working on my C2.

This is another excellent book if you're looking for factory specs, torque values, etc:

Adrian's 964 book is an excellent book but not a service manual per se and not intended to be as there is much more information required than available to produce a proper 964 service manual. The Porsche OE 964 service manual is woefully inadequate IMO.

there are full series of shop manuals for the 964 & other series (from engine to body, chassis 7 manuals for the 964 in all ) on this british site......

these are large files, so they take a long time to open
