remove crankshaft pulley
Hello
I'm TRYING to remove the bottom pulley from a 964 engine, the one on the crankshaft.
I succeded to remove the bolt, but I can't get the pulley off??
Does anyone here did this DIY, if yes what's the right method?
Regards

There is actually a special tool that Porsche made to pull the crankshaft pulley off. That end of the crankshaft is a tapered end that the pulley is pressed on too by the bolt. The tool is a little longer version of the bolt with no thread on the bottom and a little tapered. You tighten it into the bolt hole and it will pull the pulley off. I was not able to find one, but my P-car shop was friendly enough to let me borrow there's for a little collateral.
Maybe someone else knows a different way to get it off, but that is the book way.

just did mine, you need a metric bolts about 75mm long and thread it into the pulley and it pops right off. I have an extra if you need could send it from Canada, or do a search on this forum and pelican someone posted the sizing
