I don't see the advantage .
Does it get down the road faster ?
Have a higher top speed ?
More comfortable ?
Use less fuel ?

Please don't tell me you are thinking of spending all that money just to change the looks .
The stock 89 C4 is plenty good enough looking .

If you are selling "looks" ,
I'd rather buy fuel and lube to get me down the road .

The typical Rauh-Welt package is wheels/tires, coilover suspension, and body work. Rauh-Welt will typically source the engine work over to Promodet but a lot of the customers will do the initial package and miminal engine work.

You say the 964 is plenty good looking and doesn't need any exterior enhancements.
I on the other hand think the 964 is plenty fast for the street (do I really need a higher top speed?) so why not keep it factory reliable but just change the look? A lot of people run different wheel packages, clear turn signals, different wings, coilovers, front splitters on the street....and yes, most of those parts have a performance advantage but most owners will admit that "looks" play a big part in their choices too. As long as the owner sees the value in his/her decision, that's all that really matters.

These would be a pretty cool platform for a badass racecar, but I gotta call "BLING" when I look through the tail grill and see a standard 3.6 box peeking back, or the massive RSR aero valance with one standard tailpipe poking out... I actually dig the look, but you gotta back it up with some performance...

As RUF discovered building the original yellowbird all the fat turbo body/wings actually slowed the cars top end down, you have to add some real power to push that added girth through the air...

I think it looks "awkward" with the too wide rear end. Sorry.

I think they look amazing, too each there own.

There are die hard factory only people out there and there are others who like something too look different. I fall into the latter of the two.

What type of coil over suspension does Rauh Welt use for there cars?

Jeff

appears from the comments....it has been developed directly by RWB (pricey! like way above equivalent US$3500) by Aragosta (about as good as it gets)
based on the track success of rauh welt would suggest its damn good.
by the way the owners own car (highly modified 930) runs 3.8 naturally aspirated on carbs.
here's link to their strut shock set up

That tapping noise does not sound right. I think there is one or more loose valves there.

....and harnesses that are clearly there for show as they would crush his spine being mounted like that!

At 30 sec is the suspension so stiff that the front left wheel is off the ground as the rear wheel goes into a small dip in the parking space? Wow can that be good for road use?
