Default HT lead exploded!!
Hi guys any idea how this can happen?? Car was running rich and slugish so had a look in the engine bay and noticed this!!

Its not the lead thats exploded , its the cap .
Lets have a look at the underside of that cap .

Thats been burning for a long time, my guess is corrosion...

Its likely that it wasn't seated correctly to begin with and the arcing (along with corrosion) destroyed the part.
