Default Slight oil seepage from oil cap

I have noticed recentley that my oil cap will not go tight, it gets to the point, then goes loose.

I am getting some very slight oil seepage from the cap. I tried a new cap but that was the same.

At the moment I have found if I use some sealent on the thread, I can tighten the cap and stop any seepage. But as and when I have to top the oil up, then I have to clean of the old sealent, and reaply it.

Does anyone else either have this problem or has fixed it. Is it the pipe that needs changing or is there a simple fix. I have no idea if the oil filler pipe is changable, it dosent look it?

I don't get any seepage from the cap but like yours, if I tighten too much, it comes loose and I have to start again. I was shown a simple fix. Put a suitable size jubilee clip on the cap until it grips nicely. Put the cap on the filler until it just starts to tighten. Tweek up the jubilee clip and then twist the cap and it should tighten up nicely without going loose.
