Door Seal Part Number
Just need a new door seal for the RH door.
I need the seal in the photo as per the type on the LEFT in the photo below.
Is the part number ...
(a) 911-531-095-02-M260 - cheap & fits both sides, or
(b) 964-531-096-00-M260 - super expensive & apparently a 993 part & side specific.

I am pretty sure it's the $240 one which supercedes to the cheap one. 911-531-095-02.
The left is the original design, so if you want it original or to match the other side you will have to spend the big money, and probably why it's so much money.

I downloaded PET 7.2 but haven't quite installed it yet (virtual PC issues) ... I studied the drawings on autoatlanta.com and the original part number is the cheaper one
So I ordered the cheap one and hopefully the well-designed seal (on the left in the photo above) turns up in a week or two.
Makmov - I hope you are wrong

I hope so too because I need to replace mine too, so you will have to let me know. I was a little confused about those seals too.
I just looked it up in the catalog and LR are the same 911 531 095 02 part number so it would appear I am wrong.

What confused me was:
a) It looks like they are side specific & there is only 1 part number .... until I read that they are really just a circular seal with a corner. The corner just slots into the corner on the door opening and the rest is just pushed in .... ie so the one part can work on both sides.
b) My car had the seals type on the left .. but I wasn't sure if the seals on my car were the original or not.

I had my main door seals replaced when I had the retrim done and ended up with the style pictured on the left; same as originals. The only issue is that the 'breather' holes in the seal are a poor design and any water that collects in the seal then drips through the lower holes and into the car's interior rather than outside. I have since been told that 993 door seals are an improved design and cure this problem. Haven't seen them to compare the difference.
