Default Spoiler control?

After a recent road race with my mate in his m3 (snake pass) the "i" button came on?
Then the spoiler wont work on its own?
It works on the manual switch.

Pls help, fed up and broke

What year? There were running changes, but I think the modules themselves are interchangeable.

I know from 92-on the spoiler control module is near the tunnel on the bulkhead above the passenger footwell. I have a reconditioned spare for the more expensive module if you need one.

I have a '90 C2 and the spoiler controller is under the passenger seat....gray plastic about the size of a pack of cigarettes. I replaced mine about 3 years ago, it was about $190, from the dealer.

P/N for the spoiler module is 911.618.112.00. AFAK, this module works on all 964s. The logic is the same as a gate controller, except there is a IC that decodes the speedomener signal at sends commands to deploy and retaract the wing based on road speed. There is also a circuit that communicates with the central informer.
