Thanks for the link. The site is very well done.
The factory documentation is very interesting. Barth had confirmed via telex on 2/21/94 that Porsche had constructed 45 Carrera RSR 3.8s and that this car is 'one of the last'. In a fax from Barth only six months later, the production total had increased to 51 cars.
I've seen both numbers tossed about (Bruce Anderson wrote 45 cars were produced) but tend to believe the 51 number. The 2/21/94 doc implies that production had completed at 45 chassis, but there must have been some late customer orders which the racing department had not anticipated, thus bumping up the total to 51.

I am surprised to see that it does not have a chin spoiler or equiv. considering the wing in the rear. I am adding a 3.8 wing to my car and was told that I really need to add at least a chin spoiler to help balance out the down forces. Lovely car in all aspects.

It does have the 3.8 RSR splitters. The black finish makes it hard to pick up in some of the photos.

From the color I would guess this car was either the Sandridge or Shumacher car...one of them had an unfortunate shunt in the warmup and didn't make Daytona that year when new. Anyone know the original owner? I was running a '92 Cup and remember wanting one of those RSR's to race so badly, we finished in the Top 10 regardless but the RSR's were great cars. I think the 51 # is correct, a few orders trickled in during the season and toward '95 when the 993 took over. I picked up one in Weissach in '93 that never raced, black car that we showed at the Porsche Parade in Lake Placid in '94.

Hi Cole - this car was originally campaigned strictly as a club racer in PCA. Apparently it briefly raced in the Speedvision World Challenge series after changing ownership. Really never been raced in anger.

How much is this being offered for? That looks lovely I saw my first one on Saturday at Silverstone Classic. They are absolutely awesome!
Yellow looks the business
I would be willing to trade a Kidney if anyone wants to out the 3.8 RS
