problem, engine turn off suddently..

Default problem, engine turn off suddently..
Hi guys..

After fixed the problem with the oil fan, Now I have another problem..., when the car is cold, if I acceletare it, after doing that, engine turn off..

Dme relay?, Idle sensor dirty? (we painted the car, and engine boot is really dirty..) Problem with fuel pump? fuel pump relay?

Problems after problems..

Have you tried swapping the DME relay? It supplies power to the DME and fuel pump.

Unless you have a light flywheel setup... in which case, it is normal...

But yes, I would swap the DME Relay for a new one. Saludos!!

Tomorrow I will go to the porsche dealer here in Tenerife for a new one..! Hope that they've got it inmediatly..

You may want to buy two DME relays. One to keep as a spare in the glove box. Just in case.

just wondering, if you don't accelerate and warm up the engine, does the engine still cut off?

You can do a dme relay jumper to see if the dme relay is the problem .
If your motor runs fine with the dme relay jumper in place , then maybe buy another dme relay and see if ...

OT: oh - to have the market place fill this failing design's "sucking-wind" solution-vacuum with a drop-in solid state replacement DME .
