A few weeks ago I reached 250km/h in my 964T on the autobahn, but ran out of straight and was toying with what speed I should take the forthcoming bend at for a few seconds... I ended taking it at 200km/h, which probably didn't do the tyres any good

Me too, but I was told that was not a good thing to hit 7000 regularly. The rod, and particularly the Porsche 9mm bolts don't like to live going to 7000. They should have just stuck with the 10mm. At 6800 they will live forever.

Hit the RPM limiter a couple of years ago on the autobahn.
This was with a passenger and the car loaded for 10 days of vacation....
The only thing that was scaring was the cut of when hitting the limiter, thought I was looking at a huge bill.
Going through Germany in the middle of the night (Denmark->France/Italy) a couple of time with average speeds of 210 km/h with no issues.
Gotta love an 17 year old car that can do that
Although it gets a tad thirsty

Back straight at Sandown on a John Bowe high performance track day - 202 km/h 4th gear, C4 Targa.
The drive home from the track felt like slow motion...

Why go to 7k when redline is 6800 anyway (standard engine)? Torque is falling off by then anyway...

I've touched ~130-135 on the long straights at VIR. Or, I think I did; I only had a millisecond to look before I was hard on the binders. Unfortunately that wasn't sustained speed, like autobahn driving. I will say the car felt surprisingly stable at that speed...that little spoiler was working overtime!

Also the engine oil temps were at 8 o' clock after each 20 minute session...awesome engine, awesome car!

93' c2: Very rural stretch of 4 lane highway in West-Central PA; slight downhill stretch about 3 miles in length, good sightlines - speedo was reading 160mph, 5th gear. Stock Cup I wheels and new Sumitomo tires.

Was gripping the wheel with only thumb and leading edge of forefinger in the 5 o'clock position. Car was rock solid.

250 km/h, 155mph

What a rush! Quite noisy in a cab but its a C4 with a heavy nose so pretty solid!
