140+ was busy lookin where i was goin, so is a quick glance measurement.
Done it a couple of times, felt very quick, lots of windnoise, mayb a little front light, but solid and had more left.
On the dyno it said 156mph!
964R should not play this game because of the 993tt engine in there, haha. Joking aside, how did this car feel at 186mph?
Cops scare me, but there are the occasional runs on the freeway at 3am at 150ish.
Cops scare me too...not getting tazed, beaten or arrested...just the knuckle dragger who will come tow my car to impound and mess it up...that scares me to death.
Car feels OK, but could use more rear wing. I've probably gone faster, but at those speeds not smart to look at anything but the horizon. What's impressive w/the R is how fast you can get there...and back down to 65....therein lies the magic.
135-140 mph, VIR, most laps, the staight from turns 12-14.
(But the sucker has a dip/valley and a rise along its length - so, not being able to see the end makes this Not my favorite part of the track.
And the kink along the front straight... another me-no-likee.)
Video shows consistently around 142 on the speedo at VIR both front and back straights not sure how accurate. Although friends with Traqmates I drive with seem to claim similar numbers. Sometimes you have to go on faith. Can't seem to get the C2 above that on the track, Considerably more in the turbo but won't say where. It gets there so effortlessly there and back in no time flat. I find both cars to be very stable at speed. I drove my 74 RS clone on the autobahn averaged 155mph for 7 hours of driving not sure what my true top end was but calculated distance vs time showed 155.

You'd love T1 at Laguna then. Even though we're maybe just over 100 cresting the hill in a 964 (it's merely a bend, not a turn), when you figure there could be cars exiting the pit and that you have to haul down to ~40 for T2..........it's a good place to pay attention.
Would love to drive Laguna one day. The simulator just doesn't cut it and although our east coast tracks are fun just something about it. looking forward to Monticello this year it is a fast track so I might see more out of that little C2.
Not that I condone speed, nor would I probably try to duplicate my earlier response of 172(young, dumb, you know the rest), but come on people. Without trying too hard, you can hit 110-120 on most on-ramps! From a decent entry speed, anyway.
