I have run MPSC's as either practice or race tires for the past five years and have found that they stick well in the first lap, provided that you employ the proper warm-up protocol of hard acceleration and braking on the double yellow lap. I have never had a grip issue with bombing into a corner at the start of a race.

That is an interesting observation. Do you believe the cure time(one year) works to your advantage? Are you suggesting less cure time is better?

I just bought a set of 18" BBS wheels for the reason noted. No more 17's available. The event I did 2 weeks ago(96 degrees/humid) I had a chance to run back to back with 225/255 17's & 235/265 18's. Noticeable difference running the bigger tire. Temp's ran 34f/35r and I had the pyrometer confirm that for my car's set-up they were good. Once my 17's are shot i'll be selling the wheels and getting another set of 18's, possibly with NT-01's(street/wet track)

I'm also looking for these now as I'm going to switch to 17" from 18" on my 993C2 based on the advice of a couple of guys who are Nordschleife experts.

Are there any N rated 17" track day tires available?
