Default another dead battery!!!

Six weeks after installing a new battery (they last about a year in my 964) I left a courtesy light "on" for 3 days (it gets on the "always on" position by itself, maybe because of the car movements) and the battery is now dead, hope it may resurrect with a slow charge

Sorry to hear that. I hope your battery is not damaged and holds a charge ok.

How deep did it drain ?
Did you check the voltage before you put it on the charger ?

You might like an automatic battery disconnect .

I feel your pain. I had my battery replaced just over a week ago and I go to start the car after 4 days and it's dead. Charged it up and I took it to the office today to see if it last a whole work day. I guess I'll find out in a few hours. I bought one of those rechargeable booster things just in case and have it sitting in the trunk.

why is there such a wide variance between individual 964's in the way they drain the battery?

Optima has a killer warranty. After 3 years of use Advance Auto just replaced my Optima Red top for free in my Silverado. No questions asked. Thank you Advance Auto for my free $178.00 battery.
