Thanks Alan, agree that the differences are minute. Don't think Bill is criticising Fikse, just stating a reality.

Do you suggest staying with a 255 on the 18 at the back, or go up to a 265?

In 18" on a 9.5" wide wheel you can use either 255 or 265, however some 265/35 18 tires are much wider than others. Continental tends to run on the narrow side of the range, Michelin about the middle and Bridgestone are a bit wider.

Any idea where Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics fall in this?

The difference to the 52mm offset is 4mm or 0.157".
The rear wheel in 9.5" width with a 50mm offset is an excellent fit on the car and again 3mm is a very minute difference. That difference however will keep a tire with a wider section width from rubbing on the fender.
Thanks for the response

No, I wasn't criticizing just stating what I have usually seen on 964s and Alan was great in spec'ing the Kinesis wheels on my C3.

where 8s were used in front from the factory as on Cup cars ET was 52 and 9.5rears were ET68 w/ a 21mm spacer as on this Cup

obviously other ETs not too far off can be used w/ these sizes, the narrower the tire the more leeway

here is 8ET50, 245/35 & 10ET65 w 21mm spacer, 275/35 x18

other sizes that i've seen

8.5x17 51.0 245/40 Hoosier perfect fit
10x17 44.0 275/40 Hoosier rubs at rolled lip
9.5x17 51.0 275/40 Hoosier perfect fit
8.5 x18 50.0 245
10x18 44.0 285
8x18 56 225/40
8.0 51.0 w/6mm spacer for a net ET48
10.0 54.0
