Friday frenzy
well, the past few weekends kicked off the frenzy that is my summer. this weekend I'm shooting my first wedding of the season. 4 of them for me this summer. Senior pictures for high school seniors, Porsche parade coming, and a host of other family comittments too I still have to wash the Porsche from the last outing, and maybe even wax the damn thing.
So what about your weekend? Everyone should be in full summer mode Below is an image from my first senior of the summer; she's also the girl I've photographed on the beach each of the last 2 summers. she's certainly grown up.

You always do nice photos Geoff.
Last weekend, I spent driving a PCA DE at Watkins Glen (my first time there). I had a great time. For the east coast tracks, its my favorite so far. Its 3.4 miles and with elevation changes. I drove out on Friday and came home Monday. Its a long drive out there and back (7 hrs each way) but well worth it. The Elf ran perfectly the whole event. The track is a very high speed course. I was in either 3 or 4th gear all the way around. My top speed was about 120-125 mph at the end of the back straight (nearing redline in 4th). It was quite a rush. I want to go back again this summer, if I can. I need to check the schedule to see when the next club events are. It was very hot but luckily, I was parked next to someone who had brought an EZ-Up tent so I was able to sit in the shade. I need to find my tow hook. It wasn't in my car's tool kit bag. I borrowed someone's. I also need to fix the car's smile. It really looks crappy in these photos. A professional photographer was there taking photos. I purchased a few (see attached).
This weekend, I need to pull the Elf's rear tires to check for tire rubbing. I had installed larger wheel spacers to fix the problem (went from 4mm to 6.25mm). I also want to install the sunroof interior panel and address the bumper smile. If I complete those and still have time, I will start work on the my cab's alternator and wiring. The coupe needs a good bath and a wax too. Its a lot to do, not sure if I'll get it all done but I'll do my best.

We still haven't really had summer here. It's been like early April here since early April... with showers and gray skies, and not getting past 70 deg any day. We have gotten our entire predicted rainfall for the summer already. Yesterday was the first day past 80 deg since last summer... so summer mode has not kicked in - at all. boo.

I am out of work after Monday. I am throwing the kayaks and some clothes in the truck and heading to my summer cottage on the Chesapeake in Virginia for a week or two of fishing and crabbing and a bit of maintenance on the house. I have a new job lined up but wont start right away. After 40+ years of work I am going to suck a few months off all you tax payers
