Question Brake fluid change

I´m doing an Motor and gear box oil change this weekend. When it comes to the brake fluid, it says in the book "Technical Data Without Guesswork" that the amount off brake fluid for my 964 Turbo is 0,75 liter ( 1,59 pt) and then Brake booster circurit 1,6 liter (1,7 qt) ?? How much fluid shall i Buy?...Stupid question with simple matematik....but do I change all this amount...

1 can (1 liter) has always done the trick for me.

I thought I was ridiculously in the clear this year with two 1 liter cans sitting on my shelf.
Got to the left rear brakes and discovered I needed that second can.

(I hate brake fluid.)

For a complete flush on a C4, if you follow all of the recommended procedures and bleed quantities (in the shop manual and Adrian's book), and bleed the ABS accumulator, solenoid, PDAS locks, four brake calipers, and clutch slave - you will need slightly more than 2 liters.
I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but it is essentially 250 mL at each point (on the brake caliper it is 125 mL per bleeder). 4 calipers + 2 PDAS locks + clutch = 7 x 250 = 1750 mL; plus the accumulator and solenoid takes a bunch when you do a full depressure cycle.
Ask me how I know that 2 liters is not enough....

The dirty and the clean fluid mix where there is contact in the reservoir and in each piston. To flush out the mixed fluid, you need more than the total volume, but not much more.

Including the clutch circuit, I have always needed close to two liters. If air gets into the system, that takes a lot of work and extra fluid to flush out. Count on three to four liters if you have air.
