Default Strut Brace Reco

I am looking to add a strut brace and looking for some input on what to get. Do not plan to add a camber plate at this point. I have looked at all the usual suspects, but feedback on some real life experience would be good.

Thanks

Check out the Perfect Power brace. Super stout, no pivot points, and a direct copy of the no-longer-available RUF brace.

Perfect Power

I'm happy with my Brey Kraus strut brace but have never tried any others so I'm not sure if I can definitely say its the best or not.

I prefer my Porsche Motorsport strut bar, which Fabspeed makes a reproduction:

In case of Strut Brace, I am thinking that they are work the same and paying more does not necessarily mean better. That said, I like the one made by Rennline because of attachement with 3 bolts, but am not sure if I can install the one pictured with the camber plate on the OE strut mount.

Do strut braces even make a difference on our cars?

I've got the same one you ordered. On the very first drive, I noticed the car had a much sharper turn in.

Of course it does. They use them on race cars, so perception is everything

yeah I was just reading in Grassroots Motor-sports that it doesn't make a difference on most cars seeing the chassis is very rigid already. Its tempting though seeing how easy of an install they are.

it eliminates initial understeer, thats for sure... but only if you have the type that can be tensioned.

Rigidity is relative. Yes, it's more rigid than a Camaro of the same era, but less rigid that a seam welded and strengthened 964 RS, which is turn is less rigid than a full seam welded RSR.

I would love to have an extremely rigid, full seam welded car with the strut brace in front and the RS braces in the back, but set up in luxe mode with softer suspension so it's comfortable as an every day. But that's just me
