Hot time. Real hot
Greetings:
Can't get hot air to stop blowing through dash vents. Well, through all except the one to left of steering wheel.
Background (as it may provide clue): Little cool in KC this morning. Flipped the heater on slightly and fan on one click. Got hot inside. Flipped heater to blue square and fan off -- still heat pouring out of the vents.
Any ideas?

I would verify that your heater flap servos are moving. If they are working properly, then I would suspect that you may have a hole in the heater hose under the dash in the footwell.

Interestingly I have a similar (but intermittent) issue. I have pulled the servos and they work fine on 12v, but do not always move when given input from the CCU.... haven't found the solution yet, though.

OK. Came home, garaged car, turned to the forum for help, went to the manual, washed and waxed the car (third time for wax since April 1st), got in, drove around and the air is now cool again. The problem fixed itself. Drove around for an hour. Cool air. Nothin but.
Does this give anyone any ideas about cause?

mine would do the same thing. The servos reset when you turn the car off. Have you tried turning the heat on and then back off? Mine would get hot and not cool back down. I ended up buying 2 used servo motors and problem is fixed.

jimq: Have not tried turn the heat on and then off. Kind of letting the sleeping servos lie. But, I will. Where did you get the used servo motors? I think when I get a chance, I will disassemble the ones in question as per the instructions provided above by RocketRob.

i tried the servo fix a couple of times but within a short time they would messup again. Finally they started running my battery down in a couple days. I believe I got them at Oklahoma Foreign and it was $100 for the pair. They worked great all winter with no problems and no battery drain.
