A much more tastefull Fuchs wheel

hmmm... interesting.
IMHO, the trend toward hi-riser (aka, 'donk' car) wheels stretches the paddles of the classic fuchs beyond what appears right... to my eye.
And on the topic of ever larger dia's, I'd venture, its driven mostly by peacock motivation than performance.
But then, the 15" fuchs dudes would probably grouse the same re my 17" cups.

Agree, but this was a commentary based on the previous Fuchs that I alone appeared to think were less than acceptable visually, these appear outwardly to be less bling, and more in-line with my conservative tastes.

Understood.
Not that I don't have a vested interest in the return of fuchs + hub caps: I do!
I still have four wheel center retaining rings knocking about somewhere in my garage...
They came off a 3.2l sold ages ago.
I've always harbored a notion that they maybe, hopefully, perhaps, might just find a home, again, on some future cyborg-fuchs for my 964.
Granted, this is about as likely as me receiving ration stamps for my new ("World Government-approved!") zero-emission skycar.
But I remain ever hopeful...

I like seeing Fuchs on the newer cars, (as others have mentioned) the proportion of the petals is critical...but the newer cars won't be riding on big meaty sidewalls that really finish-off the Fuchs look.

A friend has an '88 and couldn't decide if should change to 16" Fuchs...he decided to refurbished his 15" and I couldn't believe how good they looked. His rims have a nice deep dish to the wheel and big meaty sidewalls.

997=19"
964=17 or 18"
Either way, you won't see any meat on the sidewalls or much rim lip.
Fuchs need some tire sidewall and rim depth.

Flair your car and put wheels from a 997TT on it they are made by fuchs.
I should have kept these when I sold the car. the next owner just sold them off for pennies anyhow.
