Okay, I can keep Fiats on the road, and a 964 apparently, but I am getting my butt kicked by my innocent little 84 Toyota. It quit a couple weeks ago, and my son decided to jump start it. Too bad he didn't quite get the whole polarity concept. I have been tracing electronics issues for weeks now... and replacing what are becoming some pretty expensive parts. I thought Toyotas were supposed to be a reliable vehicle? They must be as they're certainly not easy to repair. I had to pull the alternator yesterday, which requires a drain of the cooling system, and removal of a bunch of plumbing to get the unit out. I really don't miss coolant.... bleaugh...
Also, I feel lucky with the parts resources we have. Ordering parts is not easy, with thousands of vendors, who all are front-ending the same back-end database, which isn't very good. Parts are spendy and not easy to search.
I'd rather work on the 964 any day. Maybe one day I will get this thing sorted out. Lots and lots of relays, doing all sorts of random things right now.
I use to have a truck from them and would hate to get parts dew to expence and availability. yes its hell to work on compared to any other truck.one good thing about Totota is that the cars run for ever without very much work just change the oil and its good . I agree that my 964 is so much more fun to work on.

The Nissan forum is certainly not as active or well-done as Rennlist but it's been a good source for possible solutions to common issues. And Google is pretty amazing at pulling up pertinent info--give it a try!
