Buying a RS now?
Hi Gents,
I have been struggling to get a RS or not. Prices has gone up so much in the last 2-3 years. Is it a bad time to hunt for one?
I am just afraid one day it will go up to the price of a 2.7RS, then it will get even harder for me to buy or find one.
All opinions are appreciated!!
Regards,
Jack

I have thought about it. But the amount of money used for upgrade will never return in re-sale. Spending Plus, Shipping the car to have it done abroad and ship back will cost quite a lot to start.

As above, I have seen 5 RHD at least for sale recently in the UK, from a 2900 mile example up to 70,000 mile version. Blue's, Reds, Pinks, so depending on budget they are out there!

Yup, I have checked with a few of the sellers. One seller decided to keep the car, while the other dealers want an outrageous amount of money.... keeping my eyes open in the mean time.

I guess every ex-RS owner at some point in time regrets having sold their car when observing market value developments.
The question is do you have enough love for these cars and their specific quirks to enjoy ownership even if it takes another 10 years to win financially on your 'inverstment'.

Completely agree with this statement. They are truly special cars. Unlike anything else I've ever driven. The increase in value is a double edged sword - great if you're going to sell it on (which most owners I know haven't or just can't bring themselves to), not so good if you want to take it on a track as they're becoming too valuable.

This one is up for £120k.
These probably won't see too much track action!
