Help to replace my steering wheel with Momo?
Hi all
I was given a nice 3 spoke suede Momo wheel by a friend, and thinking of replacing original. Any tips? I assume I will need a new hub/adapter? and should contact local Momo distributor.. they should be able to tell me model needed. Diameter of wheel is only slightly smaller than original, so shouldn't add too much to the effort needed turning.
Any tips on removing original? Car is 1990 C4, so no airbag to worry about. Pics below.
PS. any pics you may have would be GREAT!

This is one of the first things I did with mine. Really easy to do. Just had to order the adapter hub to get the Momo to fit the car, then bolt the wheel to the hub. Afterwards I replaced the horn press button with a Porsche one, looks much better. I will try and dig a picture out.

You need to install the "Bridge Plug" part # 928-612-220-00, if you delete your airbags. The local of operation is passenger foot well left side, there is an access plate there, you remove 2 screws and pull the plate, behind you will see some wires and a yellow/orange plug, take the plug apart and install the Bridge Plug, you are good to go.
Before you even thing of starting this project you need the undo the battery negative side and let sit for 1/2 an hour, then you can move in.

Here's the link to the thread in the DIY section. Although it relates to an airbag steering wheel, it's easy to see what you can ignore if you don't have an airbag!
