Default Chip

Does anyone know if the numbers should match between the chip (pictired left) and this other chip or what ever it is insided the same box?

Wow, I just posted this in another thread. ECU part # is on the cover: 261 xxx xxx. The chart, below, will tell you what chip is approrpriate for each ECU. Not sure what the other chip in the box is for:

FYI.....That long chip installed in the ECU (Pictured above) is not the interchangeable chip. I'm not sure what that is for. The interchangeable "chip" is found under the plastic cover on the other half of the motherboard.

That's the knock control microprocessor (basically Motorola 68000 family).
