I installed my rear hatch defensive device - guaranteed to knock out any lurker coming up from behind. The decklid gas struts are pretty heavy duty. I installed only one, and now when I pull the release, I can launch oranges from my rear spoiler when the hatch pops up.

So, what your saying is that you can cook the burgers and then launch them to your guest's waiting hands! Nice.

I have to do mine also. But I have the heavy turbo tail on mine. I suspect I'll only flip quarters, not launch oranges.

Mine used to fly open like that, and the front went nowhere. I finally got around to replacing the front shocks. Now the front pops up on release but the rear needs a little nudge to get it going.

Ahhhh, hood shock replacement.....lather, rinse, repeat.

Many's the time I've pondered, "where have all the classic, orange-tossing, Porsche Carrera deck lids gone to?"

Finally(!), someone steps forward to give answer.
