964 wins Pasadena PCA Concours today !
My wife and I have been showing our 964 in Street division and this year we bumped up to the Full division where they judge the undercarriage. This is the most difficult class for obvious reasons.
We were nervous as the competition is fierce and the guys in this class are quite obsessive and take it seriously. It is quite intimidating having six judges full arm deep into your car trying to find problems and dirt !
There was a great turn out today at the second in a series of PCA Zone 8 Concours events. We missed the first event last weekend due to other obligations and decided to take the car out to Pasadena for a beautiful day with highly polished Porsches.
We got there 2 hours before judging and it took all of those two hours to get all the brake dust and clean up the already fairly clean interior. I can't believe how dirty the car can get in a 40 mile trip!
After the judging was over and all the score sheets totaled we ended up first in class and much to our surprise first in division ! This was a real honor as there were some really beautiful Porsche's in attendance from early 356's to various water cooled variants. Overall a great day of competition and comeradery.
Now to get the car dirty again...

Very Good, nice car too! It looks like your getting a full service from a bunch of old un-qualified semi-homeless people? They may want to spend an equal amount of time on their wardrobe?

You have amazing patience and determination. I think if I ever managed to get my car looking like that, I would invest in a trailer and an airtight transportation pod! Congrats.
