Default Slave cylinder rebuild?

Hi,
Has anyone ever rebuilt one of the C4 long/lat. slave cylinders? What exactly goes wrong with them? New ones are quite costly so I was just wondering.

Only trouble I have had was from corrosion in the bore, I always buy up any I see for spares! As they are V expensive!

My new one was £55 + VAT. Relatively expensive but maybe not so much when considering the time it would take to try and refurb one?

I take it you are refering to a clutch slave not the dif lock slaves?
