Default VIN number Changed!?!?!
I looked at a 1990 C2 for sale and the owner says it is originally from Japan, that 's why it was issued a new VIN number.

Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I can get the vin on Monday.

Car is in Ontario and the vin change is legit and regestered, I just don't get why?

Sounds like it may have been totalled and re-shelled. My car originally came from Hong Kong but never had a vin change.

My uncle had a factory rally car and I was looking in the parts book , it had a listing and part number for a new shell . I had never seen a shell listed before , I have not seen a shell listed since then .
