Those wheels are 993 - 996 offset. They will work fine in the front, but not in the rear. You will need a 15 mm spacer (with studs and bolts) in the rear and you'll want to flatten the oil line on your driver side rear wheel well. If you do need a spacer of that size you'll want to I'd go with 225/40 front and 265/35 rear tires.

ok I have found planty of 15mm spacers so thats not a prob,

Right now a stupid question sorry I just have a mental block about wheels and offsets

will I have to have the geometry set up if I get these wheels and use the spacer?

I think my current wheels are 8.5J et54 & 10J et54

I'd be pretty surprised if your current rears are ET54 - it would be extremely tight on the oil line on the right if so - to the point of touching.

Fitting 15mm spacers on the rear is not going to make any real difference to your alignment but if you were to fit spacers to the front (which you don't need to do) would likely have some impact to the steering geometry.

ET65 rears with a 15mm spacer equates to ET50 - still tight in my view. 18mm spacers would be better to give you ET47.

Regards

Dave

Yes they did rub

even though I flattened the oil hose a little with a rubber mallet the rears still rubbed on the current wheels (H&R GT3 sport design reps phonix nap 30). I curred this by fitting 5mm spacers at the rear before I had new suspension fitted and full geo set up.

My usual mech guy is the other side of the country. I would probably get a geo set up done but wont really have time for a while hence the question about geometry set up

Thank you I will look to see if 18's are readily avaiable too.

so the 4mm difference at the front makes no difference then thats good to know. 54 vs 50

hold on wait a minute I think Im starting to get this. My current wheels are 54 with a 5mm spacer so that means they are 49 offet yes?

so the new wheels with an 18 oh hold on its gone again .right let me get a pen and paper

ok Im back, so the differnce with the spacer on the rear from old with five to new with 18 is 2mm (47 v49)again I guess this would make no difference to current set up. The rears I belive where put on a slight angle to help with turn in.

£90 for an 18mm spacer but save on geo ok good to go.

Cheers Phil
