Default Seat Chaps

I was noticing that my driver side seat bolster was beginning to seem a bit worn. I had looked at seat covers but I didn't want to cover up the leather. Then I came across these seat "chaps" and decided to buy them. Curious what others think. They seem to be work well since they are tightly stretched in place, don't shift around while driving, and do let the leather come through. I do wish they didn't have the logo on them though.

Whaddya think?

Chaps kind of have the Village people look to them not that there is anything wrong with that
Actually I cant talk since I have sheep skins on mine since I leave the top down most all summer and those dark colored leather seats sure get hot in the Florida sun

no, definite no imo....guess ok if the car does not appear in public.
maybe if you had a pair stitched up to fit in matching leather?? or maybe if you had a matching set to fit the hip bolster??? or.....

I'm with JimQ on the Village People look... but at the same time it looks pretty functional. Do they help with the lateral support?

Default lol ...

I say you dump the Super Seat Saver Spandex and take this opportunity to pick up some new seats ...

not necessarily Porsche ... but perhaps something after market

Just a thought, it might be a little better than something that lifts and separates

Wow! I struck a comedic nerve with that one! It's actually amazing to me that car guys can be that creative in their ball busting. Don't worry, I did get a laugh out of this (although with a bit of a red face). Love the Polish seat shirt.

My actual long term plan is to get new seats, and I was just trying to protect these until then. I drove BlueHeeler's 964 recently and noticed a huge difference in his seats, which I think were factory sport type. Kind of made mine feel like bench seats in terms of body stability. So, I hope some day to get replacements which are much more confining.

(Had to after this)

that was my first thought ! i wouldn't bother. Spoils the look of the seat. Of course it's all about personal choice and if you are happy with them, then thats all that matters

They look better than cracked, worn-out seat bolsters.

Well don't feel bad the look like they do the job, I have a set of wet okle that I used for a long time didn't really like the look but preserving the seat was more important... It's probably more the contrasting color, the black, synched down tight against the full, plentyfull bolster, cut away at just the right uh...oh...uh what was I saying?...oh never mind...I got distracted by barrys post...

I actually think they are ok. Where did you get them from? I might make a purchase...
