Default Tyre Help Please

Hi,

I have a 1989 C4 and have potentially picked up some wheels that will set the car off, all will be revealed at a later date providing I can arrive at a solution for this.

They are 16x8 fronts and 16x10 rears, and I am conscious that if I get the rolling radius wrong I'll end up winding the diff up. It looks as thought the widest tyres for the rear will be 245/45/16 which is not ideal as the tyre will be a little stretched. What would therefore be the best option for the front?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Matt

My understanding is that those ET's will not fit a 964. They need to be more near 50.

Matt,

I'm afraid those wheels are not going to fit. The offsets are for the pre-964 cars and will stick out too far and will contact the bodywork. Besides, a 245/45 tyre is too narrow for a 10 inch wheel anyway.

Regards

Dave

Hi,

many thanks, think I'll ditch the plans then. They were Dage splits, such a shame.

cheers,

Matt
