GoCart, THAT was THE car I was looking for 4 years ago when I happened across my red:
White w/ black interior. Sport seats! Unmolested. A later, all-updates model. Man, that's what my dreams were set on. Good on you!
(Funny, till now I thought the only '94's were those WB C4's.)
Definitely this is a car you were meant for. A rare find, indeed.

Yeah, I had heard that - in fact, it was a major deciding factor for me....
GoKart,
The search is over! Congrats, you ended up with a great looking car. Nice story about the dealer, you were patient (which is tough with such a nice car on the lot) and it all worked out. Great news.
yellowducman,
Yes more pictures. I love those wheels on a 964, simple design and BIG. More pics.

Thanks - best of luck to you in your search. Rennlist has been a great help, it is an excellent resource that should definitely come in handy while you're looking. As mentioned, the community here is very friendly

As it goes, I hope Gokart does not hate me for telling. Anyway this elderly guy owned the 964 and he traded in for a 996 despite the chagrin and advice of the shop owners not to. This 964 is a nice car. There are a couple of nicks on the bumper, but it is impressive original paint overall. The car is stock, the only mods I could find were the vent kit, nice stereo, and an odd dial for radar. Otherwise it is full rear under tray unmolested. I could not find an oil leak. It was funny the owner knew exactly what I was flashlighting for and said, nothing to find there.

I talked to the owner/dealership and that car was an uber hot commodity. Many phone calls. The owners of the shop were using it as their favorite for daily driver. Note this is a shop that has plenty of TT Porsches, Ferraris, and big Mercs.

Interesting story. They had told me the same thing, that the elderly previous owner had it for ~8 years and drove it quite gently. It certainly looks and feels like it was garaged and loved on. I do have some paperwork on the car that shows it was serviced at some high-end dealers (I looked them up) in West Palm Beach, FL and Atlanta, GA. All good stuff.
What...!?? What...?!? Where? What time?

pete000 - That is one of the best photos of a 964 I've ever seen!
Balance, color, action, the car AND you, + the Mrs. (I presume). The blurring of ther right rear is fantastic. Was it part of the photo or Photoshopped?
And it's GP Whte.
Without the bra, I think it would have been one of the top three or four 964 pics I've ever seen.

this is great! i like gp white too. my car is black like most of the cars i've owned. never liked white until i started looking at porsches particularly the 964. i like how the contours, the panel gaps and the black trim all show. nice balance of light and dark. very cool.

I just added a bit of motion blur in Photo shop for drama.
I wish I had left the bra off that day ! Oh well not a bad picture.
