i'm in the process of installing a new head unit and the only wire i have a question about is the white wire that goes to the antenna amplifier. my new head unit has an antenna signal lead wire but i think that is more to signal a power antenna to go up/down when the radio is on/off. not sure if i should hook it up to the white wire going to the antenna amp or not.. i dont know what kind of signal that is supposed to be.
what have you guys done??

well, thats what the antenna lead off of the new radio is, but i wasnt sure what the factory radio sent over to the factory antenna amp.
so youre saying the factory radio sent 12v to the ant amp on the white wire?

thanks, good thread. but i'm wondering since it looks like 12v it is, can't you just hook up the blue antenna wire from the radio to the factory white wire? I guess it woud be the same thing..
