Default Cup Wheel Silver Paint Match

Hey everyone.

I have a small chip on one of my Cup Wheels. I was wondering what silver paint would be a good match for the FACTOR SILVER CUP WHEELS.

thanks for all the help and support from the 964ers!! Tom

Wurth is supposed to be a perfect match...Pelican has it.

+1.... Wurth is the correct paint. It is Metallic Silver, I actually use it on my body panels for a perfect match.

If it is small and you don't purchase a can of Wurth, you can also have your local body paint shop mix you Toyota Silver. The Wurth will be more economical though.

Martin, I thought Porsche supplied the wheels from factory with a clear anodized coating and that they weren't actually painted.. is this true?

If so, what is the code you referenced above L61M? I am in the process of painting some CUP I's right now and want to be sure I have the correct silver to match...

Cheers,
Bryan

My Cup I wheels are in need of redo. Can that code be used by powder coating company to arrive at color? Was this a stupid question.... There's a thread for that

They can't with Powder coat to my knowledge. The best thing to do would be to bring a wheel with you and go through their colors. I PC a pair of CUP I's from a 928 and the overall finished product was darker than the silver they use. Also, matching the small tiny metal flake is almost impossible.

The powder coaters I use can only work with the Ral colour codes
