Since last oil I´ve done 1150 kms ( including 1 DE day) today I added half a liter to my oil to get ii up and it got to the top again

I think this is good for a 100.000 miles engine (never touched)

Henry, your oil consumption is great especially if you did a DE day, but it seems that the general consensus on this forum is to heat the oil to 194 degrees and then add oil only to the half way mark, that way you will never overfill.

In my car the top position on the oil level needle correlates with having the oil level in the upper mark of the stick and I supposed this is the right level to have,
I usually add oil when the oil level needle starts pointing downward when oil is hot, it was pointing a 4 o'clock and now is back to one o'clock

Just to be on the save side, I always fill it to the middle of the dipstick, where I made a small mark, which in turn shows 3 o'clock on the oil gauge at 194 degrees. You will be supprised how much that oil expands when it get really hot, so keeping it on the medium side is peace of mind for me. There is more than plenty oil in the whole system, so no harm will come to the engine.
