Rearview mirror replacement
I want to replace my wobbly original rearview mirror with a new one. My windshield is in excellent condition and the mirror is firmly attached. Does anyone know how to remove the mirror and leave the button that is glued on "in place"?
This way the new mirror can use the original mount when it arrives. I don't want to re-glue if I don't have to. Thanks

I will have the same issue when I get my car back. As far as I know, you should be able to just pull it up off the mount; the mirror arm slides down over the bonded screen mount. It feels pretty stiff on mine and will probably need judicial application of a mallet

need to replace mine too. it does slide off the top of the mount.
I was thinking of getting an autodimming one like all the new cars have. would be very handy when that Ram 3500 dually pulls up behind with his "low" beams on - even in daylight. anyone know of a source for that sort of thing?
