Default Plainview NY GTG/BBQ 2/20/10

Ok folks, so we are all sitting around not doing much car stuff. So I propose the following:

After speaking with Jason, I would like to have a winter BBQ at Jasons new shop. Lets say February 20th a Saturday. Lets kick off his shop with a great day of, what else,; car talk and food.

If you choose to wear a bathing suit, be my guest, not me.

So who is in for a fun day and help Jason get started

Please respond either here or PM me.

Sincerely,
Stephen

Spoke to Jason today, he will be doing a tech session for the diehards. I will bring my polishing wheel to help where needed.

YES BBQ/Tech/GTG Maybe I can get my wife to bake something for us.

Whomever would like to bring something can state so ASAP. As usual, we need Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Buns, Soda and alike.

The event seems to be coming together quite well.

Anderson and Edwin, where are you guys.

Jason is excited about this event. I wonder how many cars will make it. Me, maybe the 944 or the Durango.

Winter fun, hey that is why we have these cars for these type events.

We do have a few that have stated they would be coming. Steve and I from the 928 side. Mike from the 944 side and a few others. I asked Jason to get Anderson and the rest to come.

I will post me in a few days as updates.

I am currently looking at three cars. An 88 and 86 carrera and an 85 930. I am waiting for the word from Jason if any are ok to purchase.

be careful of a 930 in your price budget. as you said your cheap and a 930 is just a money pit and honestly from what I have heard is they are not fun to drive on teh street due to the turbo lag. I was actually going to buy one but to get a decent example was more then a 964 and honestly no faster actually probably a slower street car.
