Default Mixing carpet colors: Polar Silver with black

I will likely be need new carpet for the front floors. All the rest is black, but was thinking that it might look interesting to have the 2 floors to match the color of the car: polar silver.

First--is this a good idea?

Second--is polar silver actually available as a carpet color--and if so, from whom?

A year ago I bought replacement black carpet, but they did not fit the drivers side at all around the pedals.

I have grey interior/carpets with black mats...the black matches the black bits in the car. You could do a silver piping or Porsche or Carrera script on the mats?

My general opinion is to keep the mats dark. I think it's more convenient (dirt) and it also gives the car a more clean look. I don't mind light interior at all, but on the floors I like it dark. Just my 5 cents...

I also have a 92 Polar Silver 964 (Targa), with linen carpet. It is barely darker than white, and I would recommend avoiding such a light shade if you can help it. I haven't seen a polar silver carpet. My preference (which I may do some day) is a gray carpet, a bit darker than my light gray seats/upholstery. IMHO, unless you have a black/black car, you need some contrast between the interior and exterior. Good luck!

Thanks. If anyone has a good source for properly fitting mats, let me know.
