Engine Compartment Decals
Does anyone have a photo of the rear slam panel with the eng compt decals shown please.
My car's been re-sprayed and I didn't take a note of where the old ones were. Also I'm not sure how many I should have either.
I've bought the ones indicated on the PET but only seem to have two for the slam panel. That's the 'Check engine oil level...'(964 006 111 00) and 'Valve clearance...'( 901 006 503 00).
I've searched this forum but there doesn't appear to be good info.
My car is a UK 1990 C2 if it makes a difference.
Many thanks in advance,
Bob.

Bob,
I've attached a picture of mine. Without going out to the garage to have a physical look I can't immediately tell you which label is which. The valve clearance seems to be the leftmost one but I'm not sure of the other two without looking.
Ignore the small label on the rear light cluster opposite the a/c compressor - that's just a reminder of the fill values that was put on when the R134a conversion was done.
Hope it helps.
Regards
Dave

Computamedic has it pretty much nailed.
There are four decals. From my observations, the Aircon and Firing Order decals seem to go on the black fan shroud cover.
The Check Oil and Valve Clearance decals tend to be on the right hand side of the slam panel.
There is a tyre pressure decal but that, i think, went by the drivers door inside latch.

Nice one Anders, I think we're covering the globe nicely, and I like the heater blower bypass pipe.
Do you have a photo of the other end at all? I fancy one of those!
Thanks,
Bob.

Bob,
Did you see the special offer from Porscheshop back in the summer of a carbon fibre version of the bypass pipe. There is a thread on 911uk.com here about it. I've no idea if the price is still valid or even if you want to pay that much, but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks Dave, I was looking for a cheaper solution that looked acceptable. I think Anders one looks acceptable and I can make it in work.
Added to the fact that I wouldn't get the cost of the carbon fibre one signed off by the boss!!! But then she did buy me a number plate for Christmas, so I cant grumble!
Which reminds me I need to send you an email to update the register details.

A little delayed but here is the photo as promised. Taken with my iphono hence the low quality.
You have to get someone to weld in aluminum for you, and a aluminum hose and some bits and pieces. I doubt if it will be any cheaper than the carbon fibre bypass, mine was made when the carbon fibre was three times as expensive. Since the previous owner had the skill employed within the company the price tag was extremely low.
Kind regards
Anders
