Default "upgrade" running lights

i swapped out my front bumper for an RS style, i.e. vents where the lights used to be. was thinking of trying to install new style led lights in the vent area lower on the bumber - like current ones that look like they are about 6" long and 1 1/2" or so high.
anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

Another option would be to go with H4 upgrades to your headlights. It's much better lighting overall. Search here as there is tons of info on that.

Are your old lights for sale? Need the left one.

Just taken pics.
They dont fully show the effect, but you can gain a insight from them.
First pic is with main beam (HID kit), second on side lights.

Do they light the road? Not a lot to b honest.
But the HID kit is that good that you cant better it in IMO.
Do the led lights on a new porsche or audi light the road? Not a lot me thinks.
But they do make the car stand out at night, can only be a good thing.

How do you pass the MOT with the HID kit?

The LED strip seems to be all the rage these days, just like "angel eyes" was the thing to do a couple of years ago. I personally am not a fan, especially on an older car. The 964 looks excellent as is.

If you upgrade to H4 lights there are secondary bulb housings for "city lights" or running lights as they are known here. Much cleaner look IMO.

i've got a set of "projector" H4 headlights
like that company in germany that does the 964 RS recreations/conversions.

quality is OK - i have no idea how they work but i'll sell them on if anyone is interested.
I paid about $120 for them

MOT check hasnt any issues with the HID kit!
The flash has been threw 2 with no issues.
Can i ask why u think there may be problems Ilko?

The HID upgrade is one ov the best, most useable cheap mods you can do. The factory lamps r allmost useless. And the cost is low, so HIDS (imo) r the best cheap thing you can do to a 64.

As for the led strips, they use the factory loom and switch, there not permanent, they add sumting to the car at night (erh, more light can only b a good thing?). If i had the money id have the techart vents+spot lights. But there to much for me at the mo. And i agree the 64 dosnt need any help in the styling department, looks mint as is (there taht small that if there not on u cant c em).
Iam sorry if you dont like em but there only a cheap bit o fun.

Happy crimbo everyone

I'd be interested in seeing them and where you got them.
