also check your the plastic door membranes once you take off the doorcards

where do the sunroof drains come out at the front?

sunroof drains are blocked, but when i pour water down them i can hear it coming out underneath the car..
you can only hear it, or you can see it.?! In the front the water cames out just behind the front-wheel.
In the back, the water cames between the backlights out.

That's a beautiful car. It would almost have to be the sunroof drains. Here is a thread describing one user's fix:

Hi, Had the same problem, it was the door plastic membranes, try the old hosepipe test, should do the trick.

BTW car looks great She Low!

Hi, ive been fightin the water ingress issue since i got my car.
The possible options for water ingress r allmost limitless.
Ive changed every rubber seal, done the suuny tubes the main vent rubber, the screen, the door membranes (which only allow damp in not water), iam allmost certain mine is either a incorrectly fitted panel (wing or scuttle), or problem with the front bonnet area?
Iam allmost out of options, its taken me 2/3 years of messin and still no wiser?
Dump any foam in the car it only makes things seam worse cos it dont dry out, i can go on and on.

Your car looks real good.

I developed a leak which I only have myself to blame for. I took off the bonnet seal and cleaned it up and then replaced it. I later found that water was getting into the compartment near the screen (where the servos are) and making its way behind the dash and down to the footwells. After heavy rain or a wash I would find water pooled on the plastic panel that covers the servos.

What I had done is set the bonnet seal incorrectly when I reinstalled it. The bonnet was no longer pressing down on it enough to make a seal when closed. The best way I can describe the error is that when set wrongly, the fresh air grill was gripping about 1/2 inch of rubber. Now that it is set correctly the grill only just grips the edge of the rubber which means the other side is much prouder and will seal when the bonnet is closed.

i have found the problem guys! it was the rubber bonnet seal.. funny as just after i found the problem i came on here and boxsey911 posted that..

im guessing what had happened to mine is the adhesive holding the seal in had dried out over time and after opening and closing the bonnet all the time the seal had dislodged and was sitting at the wrong angle..

can anyone recommend a good adhesive to use when bonding this seal in??

I used Evostick timebond adhesive which is suitable for rubber.
