Front bumper fitted with a chalky new smilie plastic trim. It was a hard decided to change the fog lights for the RS break air duct, but having seen the poor quality fibre glass and not far off those flimsy plastic ones, the fogs are for keeps.

i did ruin the car by taking out the standard seats, and replaced them with my Recaro pole positions, which i had in my previous car.

Whilst the car was getting painted, I decided a Safety Device 1/2 cage. Here it is painted and fitted, but still to remove the rear parcel shelf and start on removing the trim when she gets home.

Numerous plans. Already had a full engine rebuild (though only to standard spec) and next is a full prep and respray. At that point I will replace as many of the seals as I can, fit a Turbo S rear spoiler, new front spoiler, front brake air intakes and maybe a 3rd brake light spoiler as well.

Thanks for the offer, will let you know how I get on but it will most likely be March before I start having the work done as my job is a bit in the balance at the moment so for now I will just go about getting all the new rubbers, sill fixings etc so I am ready to go when the time comes.

I was planning on having the bodywork done by someone in York who was recommended to me. I went up there and had a look around, spoke to them about my requirements and they know what level of work I am expecting so hopefully it will work out well.

You've already missed three recently! Once I've got to the bottom of my immobiliser problem, I'll look at organising a NorthWest gathering before the weather turns
