Am I too tall for a 964 with sunroof?

Am I too tall for a 964 with sunroof?
I've spoted a 964 -93 that I'm considering. However the car has a sunroof antdthis might be a problem.
I'm 1.90m tall, and will take the car for track sessions, thus I need to fit in the car with a helmet.
Does anyone of you know if this is a bad combination?
Thanks in advance.

No sunroof will give you 1-2" more head room. I am 73" tall and its tight with my helmet on in my C2 with sunroof. I'm forced to recline the seat more than I would normally prefer. Some people who drive on tracks, install race shells, mounted directly to the floor, eliminating the slider tracks. This lowers the seat by 1".
I would suggest trying to sit in the car to see if you like the seating position.

I'm sitting in stock seats. Is it worth trying? I would say yes but it depends on what you are trying to do. Are you planning on building a dedicated track car? Or perhaps a street/DE car? My coupe is a street/track car. When I'm on the street, I'm glad to have the sunroof. The 10 days, I'm at the track, I wish the car was without a sunroof. I'm considering putting in racing shells to lower my seating position. I sat in a RS America with a sunroof this past weekend that had Recaro SPG XL's in it on sliders and the headroom was ok. That car's owner is your height.

Sure it is worth a try. Put on a helmet and sit in the car. Even someone your exact height can have different leg to torso ratio. There is no way to know until you try.

1.90 m = 6ft, 2-3/4 in.
With standard 'throne' seats, helmet, & sunroof, this will be a problem for SC, 3.2 liter, 964, & (I'm speculating) the 993 cabins.
W/ helmet, you'll end up requiring your seat back reclined way back for clearance. Your arms will then be forced to be straight out for you to reach the steering wheel. A hateful scenario.
Putting in an aftermarket seat (with its low mounting bracket paraphernalia) was my (6") Very satisfactory solution.
Now, I have perfect upright seating position and 1-2 inches between helmet and sunroof ceiling.

I'm 198 and I have a '91 with sunroof. Without the helmet i can just fit barely in the car without touching the ceiling. I do not have to compromise my seating position. When I go to the track I have to adjust the seat a little bit, but not really a big deal. Maybe if it was strictly a track car I would go for one without the sunroof... but for my purposes the one with sunroof is #1!

Yes, cut off a piece of your legs.
Well... I don't think you are TOO tall. I am 1.80, and I find the space between my head and the ceiling normal, just as it would be in any other car. And I can't imagine the 0.1 m difference between our heights would be that big a problem.
As already said, I think you have to try sit in one and figure out what a comfortable position would be and then make the decision whether or not there is enough space.

I'm 6'5" - whatever that is in meters, and I fit fine in my sunroof equipped 93 with helmet on (stock seats). A lot depends on if you are longer in the torso vs longer in the legs. If you are built like Michael Phelps, you might have an issue.
Grab a helmet and try one on.
