I'm 6'2". I think my 91 has plenty of headroom. That being said. When I wore my helmet the two times I tracked it, It was sunny and I had the sunroof open. That made it a little better. I guarantee you this conversation is different on the miata site. LOL. Buttoned up is not an option.

 

Many thanks for all replies, I guess it's individual, and the conslusion is that if you're abowe say 1,85m you might be in trouble, and need to test with helmet to find out if it's ok or not.

I'm 1,93mtrs tall. I like to sit in kind of an upright position, not too far from the SW. Before I had a 993 with sunroof and my head touched the roof on bumps. No way I could fit a helmet retaining the same position. Now I have a 993TT without sunroof and my experiance is if you ditch the sunroof, you will have about 1inch extra clearance. Try to find one without a sunroof, much better IMHO.

 

I'm 6'2" . No problem in my 964 with the power seats lowered and no helmet. With a helmet on, the top of the helmet is 1/4" from touching.

 

I just tried to raise my seat as much as possible, and there was still room for my head. Not much, and not enough to wear a helmet.


Anyway, the CONCLUSION must be you will fit perfectly in the car with/without a helmet depending on what position you will be able to have the seat in while driving. And as most people already has pointed out I don't think that will a problem..
